The Denver Group of the Colorado Mountain Club posts hikes, trail runs, bike rides, and schools. A trip on the calendar is not a walk-up. Registration closes before the start, and many trips require membership.
The Denver Group calendar, read October 3, 2026, included an October 4 scramble with registration already closing, an October 5 sunrise trail run, and an October 8 after-work bike to Strontia Springs that said it was open to CMC members. Trailheads are on each trip, and many are outside Denver.
People who can meet the trip’s prerequisites. Some trips need a leader’s permission.
A listed trip is not an invitation to show up. The October 4 scramble was already at its registration close when the calendar was read on October 3.
How to join
Join CMC, then register on the specific trip before it closes. Do not drive to a trailhead without a confirmed spot.
