Pikes Peak Road Runners

The big local club. Social runs and races live on the calendar.

PPRR is a volunteer 501(c)(3), established in 1978. The club’s site calls itself the largest running club in Colorado, with 1,100+ members, and says the mission is health and fitness in the Pikes Peak region. This is not one weekly drop-in. The public rhythm is a calendar: monthly social runs, the free Nielson Challenge, training series, and races.

Social runs are listed as monthly Saturdays from The Lincoln Center, 2727 N. Cascade Ave. The directory lists 8:00 a.m. from October through April and 7:00 a.m. from May through September. The Nielson Challenge is a monthly free 2-mile at North Monument Valley Park. Exact dates are on the calendar, not a standing weekday.

Members and guests. Social runs welcome all paces; some series are for registered participants.

Springs magazine (June 18, 2026) also describes Sunrise Striders as Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 a.m. runs for registered runners, with the location sent to them. Treat that as a members’ series, not a public park meetup, until PPRR confirms the current block.

How to join

Open the calendar and pick a dated run. Join through RunSignup if you want the member discounts. Do not assume every Saturday is a social.
